Help us educate and inspire Canada’s youth! If your organization has a JA volunteer program, you can sign up to donate your time and skills. You can also get involved with JA as an individual volunteer. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, such as delivering a program in a classroom, assisting at a special event or committing to a long-term leadership role. With so many opportunities, you’ll find something that fits into your schedule and aligns with your areas of expertise.
In many parts of the country we have waiting lists for our most popular programs, as we don’t have enough volunteers to teach them. As an instructional volunteer, you will deliver a JA program – or programs, if you like! You’ll help students gain invaluable skills in financial literacy, workplace readiness and entrepreneurship. By sharing your professional knowledge and life experiences, you will inspire students and empower them to make their dreams a reality.
How We Achieve
JA volunteers believe that they can make a difference. They teach 150,000 students a year that they can make a difference, too.
Volunteers play an essential role in JA’s success. By contributing your time and talents, you can help students gain the skills they need to succeed in their future careers. You’ll also have the opportunity to network with Canada’s foremost business leaders. You can get involved through the following events:
The Canadian Business Hall of Fame Gala Dinner & Induction Ceremony
Each year, guests gather in Toronto to celebrate Canada’s successful and growing business industry and honour new members of the Order of the Business Hall of Fame. Volunteers assist with customer service, logistics and support.
Most youth don’t have the opportunity to receive mentorship from business leaders. By volunteering to share your personal and professional experiences with students, you will ensure that they’re well prepared to enter the workforce. Your valuable knowledge also helps students connect what they learn in the classroom with what is needed to succeed in school, life and business.
JA Boards of Directors provide leadership and guide the strategic direction of JA Canada (National Board) and our 14 locations. These distinguished volunteers are responsible for shaping the future vision and mission of JA while honouring its legacy of excellence. They provide oversight, mentorship and leadership to all members of JA.
