JA Prince Edward Island

JA Company Program

JA Company Program empowers students in grades 9–12 with the skills, networks, and confidence to build something remarkable.

Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, have a startup idea, or simply want to learn new skills and meet new friends, this after-school experience will prepare you for life.

Over 16 weeks, you’ll collaborate with like-minded peers and dedicated mentors to launch and run your own business from idea generation to company liquidation. Along the way, you’ll develop practical and interpersonal skills while forging valuable connections. Working with other youth from across PEI, you’ll handle real money, create real products, and serve real customers.

Confidence, communication, resilience, career exploration, and business know-how. JA’s Company Program covers it all.

Volunteer as a Company Program Mentor

Support and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders through the exciting JA Company Program experience. Volunteer mentors work in teams to support a group of outstanding high school students as they design, plan, launch and run their own business.

Company Program Mentors don’t require specific expertise or knowledge, only a passion and willingness to support young people and the ability to foster teamwork. The JA Company Program team provides resources, training and support for all volunteers.
