LONDON (On.) – Two leading businessmen were inducted into the London Business Hall of Fame at the 28th annual gala and fund-raising event Thursday night, hosted here by Junior Achievement (JA) London and District.

Lawyer Claude Pensa, now retired, of the leading law firm, Harrison Pensa, and businessman Bill Gray, of the family-owned L.H. Gray & Son egg company, were praised for their business acumen and community leadership. Brad Geddes of Zucora Home was presented with the JA Alumni Award of Achievement and JA student Ashley Caris was presented with the JA Brayl Copp Distinguished Business Leadership Award.

“The award recipients all demonstrate leadership in both business and community endeavours,” said JA president and CEO Bev Robinson. “They are an inspiration to our community and the young people in our JA programs.”

Pensa has been recognized for his litigating skills as a Fellow inductee into the American College of Trial Lawyers and as a recipient of the Law Society Medal from The Law Society of Upper Canada.

Gray oversees a thriving egg company, one of the largest in Canada, with customers ranging from Loblaws and Sobeys to Tim Hortons. He is considered an expert in the egg industry and L.H. Gray and Son was the recent recipient of the London Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Award.

Portraits and career highlights for the two laureates join the gallery at the Hall of Fame, located at London’s Main Library, Galleria Mall, downtown.

JA offers a variety of free financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs to elementary and secondary  school students in the London region: over 9,000 students participated in JA programs here, delivered by trained volunteers.
