Becoming a JA Volunteer

Inspire, Educate and Empower Canada’s Future Leaders

As a JA volunteer, you will provide Canadian students with the confidence and skills they need to become leaders in their communities. You’ll help grade 3-12 students explore career opportunities, go after their dreams and learn what it takes to succeed in a global economy.

When you deliver a JA program, you will:

  • Motivate students with your knowledge and expertise

  • Get students excited about careers in your business or industry

  • Exercise your presentation, coaching and team-building skills

  • Network with other JA volunteers

How We Achieve

“I cannot begin to describe how much JA has impacted my life. It has equipped me with skills and experience that I cannot obtain elsewhere.”

— Student, Grade 9

JA will provide you with training, support and program materials to ensure your volunteer experience is fun and meaningful. We have also created an online learning environment specifically for our prospective, new, and existing volunteers. Learn more about what it means to be a JA Volunteer and a part of a growing community by visiting the Royden Richardson Virtual School for Volunteers.
