Junior Achievement Summer Camps

The JA summer camp experience truly pays off with students running their own entrepreneurial ventures working to create a profit during this one-week long day camp. 

All camps run from 9AM-4PM and are just $120! (Early drop-off/late pick-up available for $25).

 

Choose between:

Business Blast - Ages 8-13

 Campers work in partnership to create and sell products locally, learn about profits, as well as give back to their communities using fun and interactive activities.

Week of July 16 or week of July 30

- OR - 

Camp CEO - Ages 9-13

Campers collaborate with peers in a corporate environment to create a successful entrepreneurial venture in a one-week time span. Students learn leadership, teamwork, and business skills.

Week of July 23 or week of August 13

 

All camps take place primarily in the Junior Achievement Building, 60 William Street South, Chatham.  Fields trips to local businesses etc., will be shared in the parent package shortly.

 

 Business Blast:

Business Blast Summer Camp offers campers an exciting approach to learning about basic business skills. Camp counsellors take campers through each step of creating their very own business partnership. Over the course of a camp week, campers take part in fun activities including: a field trip to learn about the process involved in manufacturing or producing a product; a chance to promote and sell their handmade products in local markets; and a trip to a local charity to learn about the importance of volunteerism and giving back to their community. Partnerships keep 50% of the profits and donate 50% to a local non-profit!

 Camp CEO:

Camp CEO offers campers an innovative approach to learning about basic business skills in a corporate environment. Camp counsellors take campers through the steps of creating their own business venture as one group. Over the course of a camp week, campers take part in fun activities including: electing a management team; creating a business plan; product research and exploration; selling handmade products to the local community; and a tour of a local business. Students work in a company to create a profit, splitting 50% of the proceeds among company members and donating the other 50% to a local non-profit. *It is recommended that campers be a previous participant in JA's Business Blast summer camp
